OPELIKA, Ala. -- The Siena Heights men's golf team opened its season with a tie for fourth at the Lawrence Tech Spring Break Invitational. The tournament was a three-day event that took place at the Grand National Lake Course, one of 26 courses on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail.

The Saints finished with a 45-hole total of 790. The event was originally slated for three days of 18 holes before rain wiped out half of day 3. The SHU 'A' team's daily scores were 320-317-153.

Davis Longyear was SHU's top finisher with 193 (79-77-37), tying for 16th. Benjamin Ellis was close behind, tied for 18th with a 194 (77-78-39). Collin Duffy tied for 26th with a 198 (78-83-37).

Midway won the team championship with a 738 (297-299-142). It was led by co-medalists Hayes Mason and Camron Turner (181).
