SHU Men’s Golf Places 7th in the Irish Hills Invitational

TECUMSEH, Mich. – The Siena Heights men's golf team finished seventh in the two-day Irish Hills Invitational tournament hosted by Adrian College at the Tecumseh Golf Course. The Saints had a two-round total of 638 to claim the seventh spot.

Calvin sat atop the team scoreboard just ahead of Trine. Fellow NAIA and WHAC member Indiana Tech was third, ahead of host Adrian College. Lourdes finished ahead of Aquinas in fifth, while Siena Heights was above the six teams competing.

Colin Duffy led the top-finishing Saints squad with a 157 (75, 82) to tie for 22nd in the individual standings. Garrett Ramos tied for 25th with a total score of 158 (79, 79). Benjamin Ellis had a 159 (80, 79) for a tie in 28th. Tying for 45th place, Grady Morlock with a 165 (79, 86), just one stroke ahead of Davis Longyear, who shot 166 (81, 85) who tied for 50th.

Drew Grennes led the second Saints team with a score of 156 (79, 77) to tie in 17th. Ryan Ward finished 40th with a 163 (81, 82) while Ben Armbruster tied for 52nd with a score of 168. Michael Rampe Jr. had a score of 169 (87, 82) to tie in 56th. Jakob Gross was the final SHU men's golfer to compete, scoring 177 (95, 82) for 64th.

The Siena Heights men's golf team will compete in the Ken Venturi Invitational hosted by Trine University at the Zollner Golf Course on Tuesday, September 20.
