The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2022 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes and NAIA Scholar Team awards.  The Siena Heights Men's Golf Program had four student-athletes and their 2021-2022 team earn these distinctions. 

In order to be nominated for the NAIA Scholar-Athlete, an individual must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport, and have attended two full years as a non-transfer or one full year as a transfer.

For a team to be awarded, they must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale for the academic year.  The Saints were tied for the 9^th highest GPA among men's golf teams in the NAIA and were the top team in the WHAC.

Earning the award for the Saints was:

Collin Duffy (1^st time), senior, psychology major and history minor from Pickney, Michigan

Benjamin Ellis (1^st time), junior, global studies major and business administration minor from Doylestown, Ohio

Davis Longyear (2^nd time), junior, business administration major and finance minor from South Bend, Indiana

Michael Rampe (2^nd time), junior, communications major from East Lansing, Michigan

The Saints team was honored with their 8^th NAIA Scholar Team Award and 3^rd straight honor with a 3.56 team GPA.  The award has been an honor for 15 years.
