Men's Golf Finishes Third in First Tournament of the Fall

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. -- The Siena Heights University men's golf team completed the two-day Lou Collins Memorial Tournament hosted by Olivet College with a team score of 605 to claim third place in the team standings. The Saints were tied for third with a 304 after round one but improved by three strokes on day two to claim sole possession of the three spot after day two. 

Colin Duffy led the way for SHU with a fourth-place finish in the individual standings after shooting a consistent score of 72 on both days for a two-round total of 144. Garrett Ramos finished tied for 15th with a 152 after round two. Grady Morlock tied for 19th after improving his second-day total by three strokes to accumulate a 153. Benjamin Ellis shot an 81 on day one before decreasing his strokes by four on day two as he tied for 36th. Davis Longyear rounded out the scoring for the Saints with a 159 to tie 41. Jakob Gross tied for 22nd as an individual after scoring 155.

The Saints men's golf team will return to action on September 8 when they compete in the Gray Wolves Invitational at The Legacy Golf Course in Ottawa Lake, Michigan.
