BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – The Siena Heights men's golf team tied for seventh in the two-day Battle at Bedford tournament in Battle Creek, Michigan. The Saints finished day two with a score of 629 to place where they did in the team standings.
Host Lawrence Tech won the tournament with a 580. Northwestern Ohio placed second with a two-day total of 588. Roosevelt edged Lourdes for third with a 596 to the Grey Wolves 605. Lawrence Tech (B) was fifth with a 609 to close out the top five of the 12-team tournament.
Colin Duffy led the way for SHU with a two-day total of 151 (75+76) to tie for 16th in the individual standings. Benjamin Ellis improved by eight strokes to tie for 27th with a final score of 156 (82+74). Grady Morlock shot a 159 (78+81) to tie for 33rd. Drew Grennes had a 163 (81+82) to tie for 43rd. Garrett Ramos (83+81) and Michael Rampe Jr. (82+82) tied for 45th with a 164. Jakob Gross (82+83) tied for 48th, while Christopher Mumby (91+84) claimed 59th on the individual leaderboard.
