Men's Golf Wins Cleary Invitational

MILFORD, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's golf team finished with a team score of 314 to win the Cleary Invitational held at the Mystic Creek Golf Course in Milford, Michigan on Thursday. This marks the fourth tournament victory for the Saints men's team during the Fall 2021 season.

The Saints topped the team standings 16 strokes ahead of second-place Lawrence Tech (330). Host Cleary was third with 331 while Michigan-Dearborn was fourth with 337. Aquinas filled out the team standings with a 338 for the fifth spot. 

Benjamin Ellis tied for first place in the individual rankings with a score of 77. Garrett Ramos tied for third with a 78, Trent Moody hit a 79 to tie in sixth place, and Colin Duffy tied for eighth with an 80 to see four of the five Saint golfers in the top-10. Davis Longyear tied for 15th with an 84 to finish off the scoring for SHU and secure the win.

Up Next

The Saints return to action on Monday, October 18 at Oak Pointe Country Club to compete in another Cleary Invitational. This is the final tournament of the Fall for the team and it is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m.
