Men's Golf Wins Lourdes Invitational

OTTAWA LAKE, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's golf team had three Saints finish in the top 10 to win the Lourdes Invitational that was held at The Legacy Golf Club in Ottawa Lake, Michigan on Tuesday. The Saints finished the round with a team score of 304 to claim the top of the team standings. This is the second consecutive win for the SHU men's golf team and the third win total this season.

Cleary finished with 313 to tie with Lourdes for second place. Ohio Dominican was fourth with 314 and Michigan-Dearborn was fifth with 321. Cornerstone registered 322 for sixth place to edge seventh-place Tiffin (327). Concordia (Mich.) tied with Rochester for eight with a team score of 334. Northwestern Ohio fell to 10th with a 336.

Garrett Ramos highlighted the day for SHU by shooting two-over-par (74) for second place in the individual standings. Davis Longyear was just one stroke behind with a 75 to tie for third. Benjamin Ellis tied for eighth with a +5 (77) on the day. Collin Duffy finished with a 78 tie in 11th place. Trent Moody finished off the scoring rounds for Siena with a +14 (86) to tie 53rd. Four other SHU men's golfers competed as individuals. Drew Grennes and Jakob Gross both shot a +12 (84) to tie for 45th. Michael Rampe Jr. finished tied for 71st with a 96 and Drew Pitts totaled 113 for 76th.

Up Next

The Saints will travel to Milford, Michigan on Thursday, September 23 to compete at the Cleary Fall Invitational at Mystic Creek Golf Course. The tournament is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m.
