DEFIANCE, Ohio -- Junior Davis Longyear finished in a tie for first place in the individual standings with a score of 69 in the tournament as the Saints won the Yellow Jacket Military Appreciation Invitational at Eagle Rock Golf Club in Defiance, Ohio on Wednesday. SHU tallied 290 points to sit atop the standings.
Tiffin finished second with 295 while Lourdes fell third with 296. A second team from Tiffin was fourth with a score of 304 while host Defiance claimed fifth with a 317. Bluffton finished with a 323 for sixth place and a second SHU squad was seventh with a 346.
Colin Duffy was two stroked behind Longyear with a 71. He placed third at the tournament with that score. Garrett Ramos tied for ninth with a 74. Benjamin Ellis had a 75 to tie for 15th while Trent Moody scored a 78 to tie for 19th. Jakob Gross tied for 23rd with an 82, Ty Hozeska finished 28th with an 84, and Drew Grennes tied for 32nd with a score of 88. Michael Rampe Jr. scored a 92 for 35th while Drew Pitts hit a 98 for 36th.
