ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's golf team clinched the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference regular-season championship during the fifth WHAC jamboree, which Concordia hosted at Stonebridge on Wednesday. The Saints placed third among 11 teams at the event.

Joe Forest led the way for SHU, tying for second with an even-par 72 on the 6,791-yard course. Ian Martin tied for eighth with a 75 while Tim Combs and Nicklaus Zanotti tied for 23rd with 79s.

Cornerstone's Brad Clevenger was medalist with a one-under 71.

Northwestern Ohio placed first at the jamboree as teams 1-4 finished four strokes apart. The Racers had a 303, Davenport was second with a 304, Siena Heights had a 305 and Madonna registered a 306.

In the WHAC overall standings, Siena Heights had a 1,466, holding off second-place Davenport by four strokes (1,470).

SHU will host the WHAC Championships in the spring at Lenawee Country Club. The winner of that event wil learn an automatic bid to the NAIA Championships.
