Men's Golf Ninth After First Day of Arnie's Invite

ADA, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's golf team sits in ninth place after day one of the Arnie's Invitational, which began Monday at Egypt Valley. A total of 78 golfers from 14 schools are in the competition.

Nicklaus Zanotti was the Saints' top golfer on day one, finishing with a four-over-par 76. He is tied for 12th.

Tim Combs and Ian Martin shot 80s and are tied for 37th while Parker Ross is tied for 43rd with an 81.

Host Taylor (Ind.) leads the team field with a 297. The Saints had a score of 317 on Monday.

Taylor's Mitch Lamping is the leading golfer with a 69 on day one.

The tournament will wrap up on Tuesday.
