Men's Golf Wins Trine's Venturi Invite

ANGOLA, Ind. -- The Siena Heights men's golf team placed first among four schools at Trine's Ken Venturi Invitational, which took place Thursday at Zollner Golf Course.

The tournament featured unique rules. Each team had three two-man teams with three different formats. Six holes were played best ball, six holes were played scramble and the final six were played alternate shot-all stroke play.

Ian Martin and Nicklaus Zanotti led the way for SHU, combining for a score of 62. They tied for the top score.

Robert Kowalenko and Joe Forest combined for a 66 and Tim Combs and Parker Ross teamed for a 70.

The Saints had a team score of 198, followed, in order by Trine (201), Madonna (203) and Kalamazoo (209).
