Men's Golf Places Fifth at WHAC #4, Remains Second in Standings

CALEDONIA, Mich. -- Parker Ross tied for fifth individually as the Siena Heights men's golf team placed fifth itself at the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference's fourth jamboree, which took place at Stonewater Country Club. A total of 62 golfers from 11 schools competed.

Ross fired a one-over-par 73 on the 6,712-yard, par-72 course, to lead the way for Siena Heights. Joe Forest and Nick Zanotti added 76s to tie for 17th.

Also, Nick Sanscrainte rounded out the Saints' scoring with a 77 to tie for 28th. Robert Kowalenko tied for 32nd with a 78.

Siena Heights scored a 302 at the event while Northwestern Ohio won with a score of 290. The racers were led by medalist Brian Schatzer, who carded a two-under 70.

With one WHAC regular-season event to play, SHU remains second in the standings with a four-round total of 1,211. Davenport leads the field with a 1,199.

Following the Saints are, in order, Indiana Tech (1,216), Northwestern Ohio (1,222), Madonna (1,227), Lourdes (1,243), Lawrence Tech (1,250), Cornerstone (1,279), Aquinas (1,367), Concordia (inc.) and Marygrove (inc.).

Siena Heights will wrap up its fall schedule on Friday when it participates in the WHAC's fifth jamboree, which will happen at Sylvania Country Club in Sylvania, Ohio.
