Charles Cain has been Siena Heights’ bowling coach since the program’s creation in February 2010. The Saints began competition during the 2010-11 school year.

Cain has a vast bowling background and considerable knowledge. He has been coaching bowling for 11 years and is a USBC United States Bowling Congress Silver Level Certified Instructor. Prior to joining the Saints, Cain coached the University of Michigan’s men’s bowling club team to its first intercollegiate team sectionals appearance in school history.

Cain is the WHAC sports chair for bowling since the WHAC brought bowling in as a conference sport. He's a 4-time recipient of the WHAC Bowling Champions of Character Coach of the Year. He is also the Vice-President of the NAIA Bowling Coaches' Association and a member of the NAIA Executive Council for Bowling.

Cain’s success in coaching has not been unique to his time with the University of Michigan. In 2009, he saw a second-place finish in double at the state youth tournament. For his efforts, Cain was selected as the Metro Detroit Coach of the Year for the 2008-09 season.
