Fort Wayne, Indiana – The Siena Heights University men's bowling team competed in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Championship on Saturday, February 26th. The Saints tallied a final pin count of 3,465, to take 9th place in the 2022 WHAC Conference Championships, only 625 pins behind first place.
Indiana Tech led the tournament, taking first with a total of 4,090 pins. Lawrence Tech followed just 67 pins behind to take second with a final count of 4,059 pins. Madonna University nearly took third only seven pins above Aquinas College who collected 3,992 pins. Lourdes finished fifth while Concordia University Ann Arbor held sixth place. UM-Dearborn trailed by Cornerstone filled the seventh and eighth place with Cleary rounding out the leader board in tenth place.
The top four teams: Indiana Tech, Lawrence Tech, Madonna University, and Aquinas College, went into bracket play. On lanes 23 and 24 #1 Indiana Tech faced off against #4 Aquinas College, beating them 3-1, to advance in the tournament. While #2 Lawrence Tech took on #3 Madonna University, LTU swept the Crusaders 3-0. Leaving the #1 and #2 teams to face off the tournament finals. Where Indiana Tech overpowered Lawrence Tech 3-0 to claim the WHAC Bowling Championship trophy.
