Men's Bowling Starts Season at WHAC 1

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The Siena Heights men's bowling team started the season with a seventh-place finish at the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) #1. The Saints finished with 6,322 (-1,263) to claim the seventh spot in the team standings. 

Indiana Tech won the tournament with 7,585 pins. Lawrence Tech fell second with 7,221 pins. Concordia (Mich.) was 552 pins back with a team score of 7,033 for third. Aquinas was fourth with 6,990 and Madonna was fifth with 6,801. Lourdes edged SHU for sixth with 6,497 pins. Cornerstone had 6,120 for eighth. Cleary (5,785) and Michigan-Dearborn (5,744) rounded out the team standings.

Bobby Burcar led the way for SHU with 730 pins for 34th in the individual rankings. Sam Scheuher finished 40th with 705. Eric Lambert had 693 pings for 42nd. Ryan Reid placed 82nd with 503 pins while Noah Tafanelli had 326 and Sean Fitzgibbon had 325.

The Saints men's bowling team will compete again in two weeks on Saturday, October 16 at the Cornerstone Classic held at the Fairview Lanes.
