Men’s Bowling Concludes Season with 12th Place Sectional Finish

STRATFORD, N.J. – The Siena Heights men's bowling team finished the 2015-16 season with a 12th place finish at the Intercollegiate Team Championships at 30 Strikes Bowling Center in Stratford, N.J. on Saturday.

The 12th place finish for the Saints in the 17-team field matches the all-time best finish in program history. The Saints also finished 12th in Addison, Ill., for the 2013-14 sectional qualifier.

The top four schools in each of the four sectionals across the nation advanced to the Intercollegiate Team Championships in Wichita, Kan., April 20-23, where they will have a chance to compete for the Kerm Helmer Cup, college bowling's national championship trophy.

Following a total of 64 baker games, the Saints recorded a total pin-fall of 11,827 (184.80 average), 1,383 pins behind fourth place William Patterson (N.J.) with a total pin-fall of 13,210 (206.41 average).

Also advancing to the Intercollegiate Team Championships with William Patterson was third place McKendree (Ill.) with 13,313 (208.02), second place Webber International (Fla.) with 13,453 (210.20), and sectional champion Urbana (Ohio) with 13,655 (213.36).
