Siena Heights Men’s Bowling Places Seventh and Ninth at AHIBC III & IV

WICKLIFFE, Ohio – The Siena Heights men's bowling team took home a seventh and ninth place finish at the last two American Heartland Intercollegiate Bowling Conference tournaments of the season at The Game of Wickliffe in Wickliffe, Ohio.

In AHIBC III, the Saints placed seventh in the 21-team field with a 7,331 total pin-fall. The Saints stayed in the top-five for much of the day behind strong five-game team sets of 974, 1052, 1008, and 998, but the two final four-game baker sets of 759 and 726 ultimately kept the Saints from placing in the top five.

Joshua Criscenti led the way for SHU, finishing 24th in the 187-bowler field with a five-game total of 1049 (209.80 average). Also for the Saints, Carlos Granados placed 32nd with a 1025 (205 average) in his first collegiate tournament since his transfer from Venezuela to Siena Heights last school year.

Notre Dame (Ohio) won AHIBC III with a 7,945 total pin-fall. They were led by top-finisher Ryan Ashby who won the event with a 1,176 (235.2).

In AHIBC IV, the Saints placed ninth in the 21-team field with a 7,184 total pin-fall. Granados was the top-finisher for SHU, tossing an 822 (205.5) four-game series to place 46th in the 181-bowler field. Will Shaffran finished three spots behind Granados, placing 49th with an 819 (204.75).

Notre Dame also won AHIBC IV, this time compiling a total pin-fall of 7,617. Ohio State's Kyler McDonald placed first individually with a 983 (245.75) four-game total.

The Saints will begin post-season play Feb. 7 at the WHAC Championships which is set to be hosted by regular-season conference champion Concordia.
