Men's Bowling Places Fifth at WHAC #1

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – The Siena Heights men's bowling team placed fifth in an eight-team field at the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference's first jamboree of the season on Saturday. The event was hosted by Lawrence Tech at Five-Star Lanes.

The Saints started slow out of the gate, tossing an 884 total for their first game before responding nicely with a 1,010, 1,046 and 1,018 to cap off their set of four team games.

In bakers play, SHU racked up four game sets of 793, 771, 812 and 727. The Saints were locked in the fifth-place position towards the end of the day, as their 7,061 total was a 105-pin advantage over sixth-place Davenport while falling 203 pins short of fourth-place Northwestern Ohio.

Kenneth DeGraaf was the top finisher for SHU, as he finished 12th in the 80-bowler field with a four-game series of 836 (209.0 average) which included games of 210, 213 and 241.

Aaron Dear had the high average for the Saints, compiling a three-game series of 633 (211.0 average), which included games of 200 and 234.   

Also for the Saints, Zachary Colosimo finished 19th with a four-game series of 805 (201.25), while Joshua Criscenti finished 29th with a four-game series of 769 (192.25).

The fifth-place finish for SHU marked its highest finish in a WHAC jamboree in two years. The victorious squad, Concordia, recorded a 7,522. The top individual finisher in the field was Dakota Neff from Aquinas, who recorded a four-game series of 951 (237.75).
