LIVONIA, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's basketball team had its upset bid fall short as it fell in the WHAC Tournament quarterfinals to top-seed Madonna, 72-60, on Thursday night.

Shawn Brown led the Saints with 23 points, seven rebounds and two blocks. Delano Williams added 14 points and Colin Nutter contributed 10 points and seven rebounds.

Siena Heights (11-18) took a 39-30 lead into halftime, fueled by 17 first-half points by Brown. As a team, the Saints were 16 of 32, including 4 of 8 from 3-point territory, in the first 20 minutes.

SHU's last lead was at 45-43 before Madonna went ahead for good with a 10-point run to go up, 53-45. The Saints pulled within three points once after that, but that was the last time the contest was a one-possession game.
