Men's Basketball Falls Short against Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- The Siena Heights men's basketball team took on the Bowling Green Falcons and fell short by a score of 79-58. Jonny Bowers led the game for the Saints with 13 points, one assist, and three steals. On the glass, Shawn Brown and Colin Nutter both had seven rebounds, along with Jonas Tester who had six. 

In the first half, the game was very competitive in a back-and-forth contest, with no big runs by any team. The Saints started hot from behind the arc with the first nine points being scored from downtown. Aidan Wright hit two threes and Shawn Brown hit the first three of the game. The Saints also did not give up the lead in the first half as they led for all 20 minutes. 

In the second half, the 8-3 Falcons came out firing after Jonny Bowers hit a three to put the Saints back up 32-30 early in the second half after Bowling Green took their first lead of the game. After Bowling Green came back to take a 37-34 lead, the Falcons went on a 15-2 run to go up 52-36 with 9:54 left to go in the game. From there on Bowling Green cruised to victory to advance to 9-3 on their season. 

The Saints shot well on the afternoon, shooting 45.1% from the field and 41.2% from three. The Saints outrebounded Bowling Green 35-31 but had 28 turnovers.
