Men's Basketball Unable To Overcome Early Deficit

SYLVANIA, Ohio -- The Siena Heights men's basketball team suffered 82-62 loss to WHAC opponent Lourdes on Wednesday night.

Delano Williams scored 15 points while Colin Nutter and Curtis Bell III tacked on 13 and 10, respectively. Bell and Jonas Tester grabbed seven rebounds each.

The Saints were unable to overcome an opening 16-2 run by the host Gray Wolves.

Williams led SHU on a 10-point run later in the first half, scoring the first seven points. Bell connected on a 3-pointer to pull the Saints within 29-23.

After that, Lourdes pulled away to a 41-29 halftime lead and held the margin in double-figures the rest of the way.

Little Anderson led Lourdes (15-5, 9-3) with 21 points. Jackie Harris added 16 and Joey Holifield scored 13.

The Saints (5-15, 2-10) will return to action on Saturday with a visit from Northwestern Ohio.
