Early Run Sends Men's Basketball To 76-55 Win Against East-West

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's basketball team opened with an 11-point run and led the rest of the way in a 76-55 victory over non-conference opponent East-West on Monday at the SHU Fieldhouse.

The Saints (4-9) had six scorers in double-figures, led by Landon Links, who had 15 points. The other five were Davin Walker (14), Jonas Tester (13), Jackson Ledyard (12), Colin Nutter (11) and Curtis Bell III (10).

Bell also had eight rebounds, six assists and four steals while Nutter also grabbed eight rebounds.

After opening with the game's first 11 points, Siena Heights built a 20-2 lead. Links had 12 points in that run, Walker added five and Tester buried a three-pointer.

Siena Heights led by as many as 29 points before East-West chipped away and pulled within 51-39 in the second half before the Saints pulled away for good.

Devin Conley was East-West's leading scorer with 13 points. Dario Biaggi had 10 points.

The Saints will be in action next with a 1 p.m. exhibition game at Western Michigan on Wednesday. After the holiday break, Siena Heights will host Indiana-South Bend on Dec. 29 and Spring Arbor on Dec. 31.
