Saints Fall in Away Game to the Warriors

Fort Wayne, Indiana –  Siena Heights University men's basketball traveled to Fort Wayne, Indiana, Wednesday night to face off against WHAC Conference opponent Indiana Tech. The Saints had a hard-fought loss to RV Indiana Tech 74-54.

Kevin Rice showed up for the blue and yellow putting up 16 points and collecting seven rebounds, and one steal. Landon Links also played an important role for SHU putting up 15 points shooting 5-7 from the floor. Curtis Bell III, tallied 10 rebounds for Siena Heights with four assists and two steals. Luis Young picked up four steals and six points.

The first points of the game were not scored until the 16-minute mark by InTech's Rog Stein. SHU answered back with two quick layups to take the lead and continue to go up, four points over the Warriors. At the 12 minute mark, Cory McKinney, tied the game for Indiana Tech allowing for a lead change one minute later. The Warriors would continue to lead the Saints for the rest of the half. Going into half time the score was 30-21, in favor of Indiana Tech.

The Saints lead scorer, Kevin Rice made the first field goal of the second half, putting up two points for Siena. The Warriors answered by going on a run of six to pull away. SHU continued to put up points in an attempt to close the in on the Warriors. Only for InTech to run the clock down four minutes, while they added seven points to their score. Although Siena Heights continued to put up baskets, the point differential was too great to overcome, leading to the final score of 74-54.
