Adrian, Mich. -- The Saints fight through the trenches against Indiana Tech, Wednesday night at home in the Fieldhouse. The game was largely played above the rim, with height being brought from both teams. This can be seen in the paint scores, 22 from SHU and 30 from Indiana Tech, to bring the final score to 71-56.

The Blue and Yellow's leading scorer was Jayden Sims with 22 points from the floor shooting 9-13. Sims also totaled three rebounds and one steal. Curtis Bell III aided the team with his six rebounds, six points from the floor shooting 2-4, three assists, and one block. Kevin Rice also made his name known, adding nine points to the Saints score along with three rebounds and one assist. Davin Walker helped SHU down low with four rebounds and one point.

Siena Heights University hit the ground running in the first half, going up a quick four points to maintain the lead for the first four minutes. But the Saints didn't stop there, Jayden Sims kicked off an eight-point run to widen the lead. Although, the Warriors answered back with a jumper from Grant Smith, kicking off a fight for possession that consisted of many trips up and down the floor and a combined total of forty rebounds. Indiana Tech put their noses to the grindstone to come back and take the lead late in the half, with a long run of ten points. Only to be broken by a lay-up from Jayden Sims to end the half with SHU trailing 35-27.

SHU started off strong with an early basket by Kiewuan Graham, unfortunately, the Warriors wouldn't let the Saints gain any momentum. Indiana Tech made the Saints earn every point of their comeback while the blue and yellow fought hard to get within one. It was then that Steve Helm hit a jumper kick-starting the Warriors on a 12-point run, which consisted of a dunk and two three-pointers. From that point on Siena Heights struggled to regain their once great momentum and energy, allowing Indiana Tech to go up 61-44, before Max Moratinos and Jayden Sims ignited a late push, helping the Saints put up another 13 points before the end of the game.
