Men's Basketball Improves to 1-1 With Double-Digit Win at Ohio Christian

CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio -- The Saints dropped 61 points in the second half to pull away from Ohio Christian on the road on Thursday night inside the Maxwell Center. The Saints (1-1) improved their performance from the season opener as they shot an impressive 58.7% from the floor in the blowout win.

Kevin Rice led the Saints in scoring with 31 points in the winning effort. Rice made nine of his 11 free-throw attempts and was one rebound shy of a double-double. He also led the team with five assists. Graham was 8-10 from the floor, 3-3 from beyond the arc for a total of 20 points. Curtis Bell III finished with 13 points, six rebounds, and four assists to victory. Davin Walker tallied 15 points and seven boards off of the bench.

Siena Heights began with a 7-1 run to start the game. The Trailblazers battled back to tie the score up at seven points. Ohio Christian would eventually take the lead, 15-12. The score remained close as the teams tied six times throughout the first half, including the 35-35 deadlock as the teams entered the locker room at the half.

The Trailblazers hit the opening bucket in the second half to take a 37-35 lead. It was the last lead for the home team as the Saints went on an 8-0 run to take a 43-37 lead and never looked back. Rice hit a jumper to extend the lead to double-digits, and Siena maintained the advantage for the remainder of regulation.

The Saints will return home for two games against Montana State-Northern on Saturday and Sunday, November 6 and 7. Saturday's game is at 7:30 p.m., while Sunday's will tip at 5:00 p.m.
