Jackson Double-Double Lifts Men's Basketball to Victory Over Lourdes

SYLVANIA, Ohio -- Tony Jackson II earned a double-double in the Siena Heights men's basketball 67-57 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference victory, on Saturday.

The Saints (12-13, 7-10 WHAC) came out to a quick start, going on a 10-0 run to take an 18-3 lead with 7:30 left in the first half. A last-second basket from Jon Hovermale put the Saints up 26-12 at halftime.

With less than a minute remaining in the game, the Gray Wolves (10-15, 3-13 WHAC) cut the lead down to only five points, but SHU held strong as they regained their 10-point lead to cement the 67-57 victory.

Jackson led the Saints with 22 points, 10 boards, five assists, three blocks and two steals. Trevor Holston and Keith Jordan Jr. each had 13 points while adding nine and eight rebounds, respectively. Also tallying 11 points for SHU was Kevin Smith II.

Lourdes was led by Jordan Fabry with 13 points an assist and a steal. Clif Snow earned nine points and 10 boards while Evan Vasquez tallied six points.

As a team, Siena Heights shot 20-46 (43.5%) while going 1-10 (10.0%) behind the arc and 26-40 (65.0%) from the free throw line. The Gray Wolves went 20-57 (35.1%) overall, shooting 4-21 (19.0%) in three-point land and 13-21 (61.9%) from the line.

Next up, SHU will travel to Rochester for a 7:30 p.m. WHAC contest.
