Men's Basketball Drops Contest to Madonna

LIVONIA, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's basketball team dropped a conference decision to Madonna on Wednesday, 60-74.

The Saints (9-20, 5-16) were led by Jerell Martin with 12 points and eight rebounds. Myles Copeland and Tony Jackson both added ten points, while Jackson added six rebounds.

Madonna (15-14, 12-9) was led in points by starter Chris Dierker with 16. Dierker grabbed seven boards in 29 minutes of play. The Crusader's bench accounted for 25 of the team's 74 points.

Siena Heights shot 21-59 (35.6 percent) from the field compared to Madonna's 25-54 (46.3 percent).

The Saints will be back in action on Saturday when they take on Lourdes (Ohio). Tip off is at 3 p.m. at Owens (Perrysburg, Ohio).
