Men's Basketball Outlasts Saint Thomas

MAIMI GARDENS, Fla. -- The Siena Heights men's basketball team defeated Saint Thomas (Fla.) 69-67 in a non-confernce game on Wednesday. 

The Saints led the Bobcats 37-23 at halftime. 

The Bobcats went on a 10-3 run with 17:02 left in the second half. Siena Heights fought back, getting the lead up to 13 points, 11:07 on the scoreboard. Raheem Bowman scored the tying free throw with only 1:17 on the clock. With 0:02 left in the game, Tony Jackson finished a jumper to win it for the Saints.

George Goodman lead the Saints with 18 points and three assists. Trevor Holston and Myles Copeland each added ten rebounds, finishing with 11 and 10 points, respectively. 

Raheem Bowman was the Bobcats (7-4) leading scorer with 17 points, two blocks and nine boards. Michael Walker and Mikon Hewitt added 16 and 12 points, respectively. 

As a team, Siena Heights finished 28-50 (56.0 percent) on the floor. Counterpart STU shot 25-61 (41.0 percent) on the floor.

THe Saints (6-10) will be back in action, on Saturday, at Northwestern Ohio in a conference game set for 3 p.m. after the women's basketball game.
