Men's Hoops Unable to Contain #3 Davenport

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's basketball team suffered a 73-56 conference loss to third-ranked Davenport, on Wednesday.

With 12 points, George Goodman was the leading scorer for the Saints. He was followed closely by Tony Jackson, who scored 10 points and added six rebounds. 

Jason Jordan opened up the scoring with two 3-pointers for the Panthers in the first half, and DU held on to the lead for the remainder of the game.

Dominez Burnett finished with 23 points and five rebounds while Wayne Bradford finished with 14 points for Davenport (10-2, 5-0).

As a team, the Saints shot 16 for 49 in field goal attempts (32.7 percent) and 4 for 16 from behind the three-point arch. DU shot 24 for 52 in field goals (46.2 percent), and 6 for 16 in three-point land. 

The Saints (4-5, 2-3) will be back in action, on Monday, when they host Spring Arbor. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
