ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's basketball team defeated conference opponent Marygrove, 87-79, on Saturday.

The Saints took the lead early in the game, but the Mustangs always stayed close behind--the biggest lead being nine points in the Saints' favor. With just under six minutes left in the game, the Mustangs tied it up, 66-66, for the fourth time of the day. Siena Heights pulled away with the help of Michael Fomby, who scored 15 points in the final five minutes of the game.

Jerrell Martin led the Saints with a double-double, 12 points and 10 rebounds. Martin also had three blocks against the Mustangs (1-7, 1-2).

SHU's Aaron Cook grabbed eight rebounds and put up 12 points. Fomby was the Saints leading scorer with 19 points, shooting 9-10 on the line.

For the Mustangs, Elijah Ingram was the game's leading scorer with 23 three points. Ingram also had eight rebounds and one assist. Diante Taylor finished the day with 12 points and nine rebounds for the Mustangs.

Siena Heights will be back in action Tuesday against cross-town rival, Adrian. The Saints will play at 8 p.m., following the women's basketball team.
