Former SHU Football Player Simley Participates in CMU Pro Day

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- Siena Heights football player Antonio Simley participated in a series of workouts and tests in front of 21 NFL scouts and two CFL scouts at Central Michigan's annual NFL Pro Day last Tuesday at the Chippewas' Indoor Athletic Complex.

A total of eight participants put skills on display at the event. Simley was joined by six CMU players, two former CMU players and one player from Hillsdale.

The participants took part in several drills: measurements, flex test, vertical jump, bench press, broad jump, 40-yard dash, pro shuttle and the L-Drill.

Simley was a two-time All-MSFA Mideast defensive lineman for the Saints. He was a First Team player in 2022 and a Second Team performer in 2023.

This past fall, Simley led the Saints with 7 1/2 sacks and was second on the team with 10 1/2 tackles-for loss. Simley was also third on the team with 48 tackles. He was credited with a forced fumble. Within the MSFA Mideast, he tied for third in sacks and was ninth in tackes-for-loss.
