LoPresto's Record Four TDs Lead Football to Senior Day Victory against Madonna

ADRIAN, Mich. -- Siena Heights running back Ethan LoPresto had a school-record four touchdowns as the Saints' football team earned a 77-14 victory over MSFA Mideast opponent Madonna on Saturday at O'Laughlin Stadium. The 77 points, and kicker David Medvedik's 10 extra-point kicks, were also school records.

LoPresto had three touchdowns on the ground and one through the air as he led a RB crew that totaled eight TDs. LoPresto finished with 15 carries for 36 yards.

Others who had rushing touchdowns for SHU (6-3, 4-2) included John Alexander (58), Nik Hammond (58), Brendan Haisenleder (50) and DeMario Young (7).

SHU quarterbacks Elijah Taylor and Justin McCown had two touchdown passes apiece. Taylor finished 10 of 17 for 181 yards while McCown was 3 of 3 for 56.

Wide receivers Eric Williams II and Credell Prather made four catches apiece for 87 and 81 yards, respectively. Prather (32) and fellow WRs Chris Coleman (23) and Bobby Opalewski (20) had touchdown receptions. LoPresto's TD catch was from 11 yards out.

Defensive back Shamar Askin led the defense with seven tackles while linebacker Clarke Hamilton finished with a two tackles-for-loss, including a half-sack.

Joseph Wharton and Markel Main added solo sacks and lineman George Talley III was in on a half-sack. Wharton totaled three TFLs. Nico Fernandez and Tanner Rubenstein recovered fumbles.

The Saints will return to action on Saturday, Nov. 11, with their regular-season finale at Marian.

The Saints built a 35-0 lead and never looked back.
