Football Drops Contest at Saint Francis (Ind.)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The Siena Heights football team fell to Saint Francis (Ind.), 42-28, during MSFA Mideast action on Saturday.

The Saints held a 28-21 lead late in the third quarter before the host Cougars (3-2, 2-0) rattled off 21 unanswered points.

Quarterback Elijah Taylor had a touchdown pass and a touchdown run for SHU (2-3, 0-2) while running backs Ethan LoPresto and Jordan Ramsey and wide receiver Credell Prather scored single touchdowns.

Taylor finished 13 of 26 for 260 yards. LoPresto rushed 22 times for 108 yards.

Eric Williams II led the receiving effort with five catches for 133 yards, including a long of 71, while Prather finished with three grabs for 76 yards.

Linebacker Clarke Hamilton led the Siena Heights defense with 13 tackles, including 1 1/2 for-loss. Defensive back Shamar Askin was credited with 1 1/2 TFLs. Defensive lineman Antonio Simley and defensive back Isaiah Pizzo added solo TFLs.

The Saints will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 14, when they host MSFA Mideast opponent Taylor for its homecoming game at 2 p.m.
