Da'vonte Price and Brady Tanguay Headline MSFA Mideast Weekly Honors

Siena Heights football junior defensive back Da'vonte Price and sophomore kicker Brady Tanguay each earned Mid-States Football Association Mideast Player of the Week honors for their efforts in the 30-29 victory over NAIA 17th-ranked Saint Xavier (Ill.), on Saturday. Price was honored as the MSFA Mideast Defensive Player of the Week while Tanguay earned the MSFA Mideast Special Teams Player of the Week honor.

Price was a large part of the Saint's success in 30-29 victory of No. 17 Saint Xavier, anchoring a strong SHU defense.

The East Cleveland, Ohio native totaled 11 tackles (4-7) including one tackle for a loss of two yards. He ended two SXU scoring drives in the second quarter by blocking a field goal and making an interception in the end zone at the end of the second to hold the SHU 16-7 lead going into halftime.

Tanguay scored 12 of the Saints' 30 points in the 30-29 victory over 17th-ranked Saint Xavier (Ill.).

In the first half, Tanguay made three field goals, and three PATs throughout the game. His longest kick of the night came as a PAT set back by penalties that was made into a 35-yard PAT with only 0:13 left in the game with the score tied 29-29, which he made to send the Saints to their third win of the season.

Tanguay tied a SHU single game record in most points made by kicking, 12, that has held since 2013.
