BOURBONNAIS, Ill. -- Running back Dont'e Fox ran for three fourth-quarter touchdowns as the Siena Heights football team snapped a four-game losing skid with its 45-35 win over Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) in a Mid-States Football Association crossover game on Saturday.

Fox finished with 28 carries for 137 yards and the three scores. He also had one reception for 52 yards. Fellow running back D'aries Davis rushed 21 times for 63 yards.

Lucas Barner Jr. was the third SHU quarterback to appear in the contest, making an impact with an 8-for-11 day with 171 yards and a TD.

Wide receiver Reggie Blackmon added seven receptions for 161 yards and one touchdown. Fellow wide-out Curtis Smith Jr. accumulated six catches for 40 yards.

On defense, linebacker Angelo Whittis had nine tackles, including 2 1/2 for-loss. Defensive back Da'vonte Price added eight tackles and defensive lineman recorded two sacks. Fellow linemen Bobby Upshaw Jr. and Tyaire Bragg added solo sacks.

The Saints (3-4) fell behind early, 13-3, but a pair of special-teams plays helped them take their first lead. Blackmon had a 29-yard punt-return touchdown. Defensive back Raymond Williams Jr. added a punt-recovery touchdown in the end zone off a blocked punt by running back Dahvon Washington.

The teams traded the lead at that point. ONU went up, 20-17, before a 75-yard hookup from Barner to Blackmon put the Saints on top, 24-20.

ONU (3-5) took its final lead at 27-24, setting the stage for Fox in the fourth.

Fox had touchdowns from 7, 1 and 41 yards out -- the long distance carry helping SHU put the game out of reach with 1:49 remaining.

A pair of Tiger quarterbacks had strong days. Matthew Wray completed 20 of 37 throws for 299 yards and three touchdowns. Derek Derkes went 10 of 16 for 100 yards, one touchdown and one interception.

Running back David Payne had one run for 67 yards. He caught a touchdown pass.

Wide receiver Alvin Best led the Tigers' air attack with six catches for 208 yards and two TDs. Fellow wide receiver Adam Glanders had seven grabs for 87 yards while another wide-out, Matt McDivitt, came through with seven receptions for 65 yards and one score.

On defense, linebacker Sebastian Swift led ONU with 15 tackles and one interception. Fellow LB Caleb Coe made 11 stops.

The Saints held a considerable advantage on the ground, outrushing ONU, 209-85.

SHU will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 31, with an MSFA crossover game at home against Saint Ambrose (Iowa). Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m.
