Esports Wins First-Ever WHAC Championship

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The Siena Heights esports team won its first-ever Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference championship, edging Indiana Tech by one point in the final season standings.

The Saints won the overall esports championship, which is determined by a combination of the three games (Rocket League, Overwatch 2 and League of Legends) played based on placement in each game conference tournament. The point scale used was eight points for first place place, seven points for second place, and so on. For ties, points were distributed equally between tied teams.

Siena Heights placed second in the Rocket League Tournament in the fall, was third in Overwatch 2 and finished second in League of Legends to total 20 points. Indiana Tech was close behind in second with 19 points followed by Cleary with 15.5 points.
