Siena Heights Rocket League Tops the WHAC Preseason Coaches Poll

ADRIAN, Mich. – The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced the 2022 WHAC Esports Rocket League Preseason Coaches poll on Friday morning. The Siena Heights rocket league team climbed from the bottom of the standings last year to the top of the preseason poll heading into the 2022 season.

"We're honored to be in such a position for year two of The Rebirth here but won't concern ourselves with polls or predictions," said Esports Director Steven Robinson Jr. "It'll always be about improving 1% daily and meeting the standard we have built within our program. Excited to get everyone back on campus and continue working on growing our culture here against not only the WHAC but across the country as well."

The preseason poll is voted on by the coaches in the league who rank each team in the WHAC from 1-8. Eight points are given to the team at the top of the list, seven points to the second-ranked team, and so on to determine the order of the poll.

The Saints finished in the top spot on the poll after receiving all eight first-place votes for a total of 64 points. Rochester followed with 56 points ahead of Lourdes, who was third with 48 points. Aquinas claimed fourth with 37 points, while Lawrence Tech fell to fifth with 29 points. Cleary edged Concordia (Mich.) 24-21 to claim sixth. Indiana Tech rounded out the poll with nine points.
