ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights Esports Rocket League and Hearthstone teams were in action during the week. Unfortunately, the Saints Super Smash Bros. team could not compete in the NACE qualifier due to server issues. That event will resume in November for all players registered. 

The SHU Rocket League squad faced Cleary in week 6 of the NACE competition. The Cougars took the series in straight sets, 3-0. Corwin Allen (FootlessTub3) led the way for Siena with a pair of goals. Lucas Dix (Synth) added a score in the losing effort. Savanna Mott (vladdy) made six saves and two shots in the contest. 

Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) play continued for Rocket League as SHU traveled to Lourdes to play in their first of two league series of the week. The Gray Wolves earned the win with 3-2, 3-2 (OT), and 6-1 wins through three games. Kyle Gonyon (YoMoisty) scored a hat trick on six shots to lead the way. Lucas Dix scored twice and dished two assists. Savanna Mott contributed five saves and an assist. 

Lawrence Tech was the final Rocket League opponent for the week. The Blue Devils earned a 3-0 win despite the Saints battling in the second and third games. Kyle Gonyon scored a team-high three goals to pace the offense. Lucas Dix added five saves and three shots. Savanna Mott tallied two assists. 

The Hearthstone team opened up competition in the GameBattles Stormwind Qualifier that hosted over 150 teams from across the country. Captains Ben Hubbell (Bhubbs) and Cian Bailey (TheDukeOfHam) teamed up with freshman Nicholaus Gragg-Fincher to face both Oregon and Washington State in the first two rounds. The Saints dropped the series to the Ducks, 3-1. Against Washington State, the Saints went back and forth but lost the series 3-2 to the Cougars.
