Siena Heights Rocket League Chosen Fifth in Inaugural WHAC Preseason Coaches Poll

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced the first of three Esports preseason coaches polls for the 2021-22 year. Each poll will be for a different WHAC conference Esports game with this first one showing the standings for Rocket League. The Saints received 19 points to claim the fifth spot in the poll.

The preseason poll is voted on by the coaches in the league who rank each team in the WHAC from 1-7. Seven points are given to the team at the top of the list, six points to the second-ranked team, and so on to determine the order of the poll.

This is the first season for Esports in the WHAC. In the past two seasons, Siena Heights was a member of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) before joining the WHAC.

Lourdes received three first-place votes and totaled 44 points to sit atop the Rocket League poll. Aquinas followed in second after being given two first-place votes for 42 points. Lawrence Tech snagged a first-place vote on the way to 36 points and third place. Indiana Tech scooped up the final first-place tick and had 31 points for fourth. The Saints then edged Cleary who had 17 points for sixth. Concordia (Mich.) rounded out the poll with seven points.
