ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights eSports Rocket League team was a perfect 3-0 on Sunday night. The Saints defeated Illinois Urbana (2-0), University of La Verne (2-0), and the McMaster University (2-0) to complete a perfect 3-0 record to start Open Ladder Qualifying.

The day began with a 2-0 win over Illinois Urbana. Series two was also a 2-0 sweep as the team won game one 5-2 before ending the series with a 5-1 game two win. In the series against McMaster, the SHU Rocket League team used two shutout wins to sweep the series, (game 1: 7-0, game 2: 4-0). The Rocket League team is now 12-4 on the season and have defeated the sixth, 12th, and 16th ranked teams nationally so far this year.

Both Overwatch teams (Yellow and Blue) also competed in pre-season games against Wake Forest University, University of Connecticut, University of Colorado, and the University of California-Davis. Both teams suffered losses in the competitions.

The SHU Rocket League team, as well as both Overwatch teams, will be in action again next Sunday, September 30 starting at 8:00 p.m., ET. The Siena Heights eSports Hearthstone teams are set to debut on October 2 at 10:00 p.m., ET.
