LIVONIA, Mich. -- The Siena Heights competitive cheer team placed fifth at the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Championships, which took place Saturday at Rochester.

The Saints finished with an overall score of 81.20. They had a 78.56 in preliminaries before delivering a season-best 82.08 in the finals.

Concordia won the WHAC championship with a dominating 94.69, followed by Aquinas (87.97), Lourdes (86.07) and Rochester (82.78).

Siena Heights finished ahead of Madonna (76.92), Point Park (66.34) and Brescia (64.33).

Conference awards were also announced at the meet. Madeline Parmelee and Caysie Ringkvist were named to the Academic All-WHAC Team. Parmelee was also selected as a WHAC Champion of Character.
