ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The Siena Heights competititive cheer team placed third at the Cardinals Invitational, hosted by Concordia, in its first regular-season competition of the 2022-23 school year.

The Saints finished with a score of 74.30. SHU had a subtotal of 74.80 before suffering a half-point deduction.

Siena Heights finished behind Concordia, which won the event with an 86.62, and second-place Indiana Wesleyan (76.92). Rounding out the competition, Spring Arbor was fourth with 69.08, followed by Mount Vernon Nazarene (66.10) and Point Park (59.77).

The Saints will compete again on Saturday, Jan. 21, at the Warrior Classic, hosted by Rochester.
