ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights competitive cheerleading team opened the 2022 season with the annual Halo Classic inside the SHU Fieldhouse on Saturday morning. The Saints finished sixth after a five-point deduction dropped their score from 51.10 to 46.10 on the day. 

Aquinas won the meet with a 69.41--that score was just 1.43 points better than second-place Lourdes at 67.98. Rochester was the only team in the competition to not have any deductions as the Warriors finished with 63.96 to claim third. Spring Arbor fell fourth with a 57.10 after a five-point deduction. Madonna was fifth with a 50.90, followed by the host Saints.
