Cheer Finishes Third in WHAC Championships

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Siena Heights competitive cheerleading team totaled 84.39 points to finish third in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) championship on Friday evening. Junior Kaileah Sweet (Adrian, Mich.) and senior Lucas Beal (Detroit, Mich.) were both named second-team All-WHAC when the awards were announced.

Concordia (Mich.) won the meet with an 86.88 just edging Lourdes who scored an 86.55. The Saints weren't far behind in the third spot. Aquinas scored an even 82 for fourth place while Spring Arbor (69.5) and Rochester (64.18) completed the standings.

The Saints will return home next week as Siena Heights is the host site for one of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) National Championship Qualifiers on Saturday, February 29. The start time of the NAIA qualifier will be announced next week.
