Molnar Fires Shutout; Wilding, Love Homer in 10-0 Romp over Lourdes

ADRIAN, Mich. -- Winning pitcher Chase Molnar fired an eight-hit shutout while a pair of Siena Heights homers helped the Saints' baseball team to a 10-0 victory over WHAC opponent Lourdes on Tuesday at McLaughlin Field.

Adam Wilding gave the Saints a 2-0 lead in the first inning with a two-run homer. Matt Love smashed a grand slam during SHU's seven-run eighth.

Love, Parker Mabe and Collin Bammer had two hits apiece for the Saints. Love had five RBI and two runs scored.

Molnar totaled six strikeouts and two walks in eight innings.

After Wilding spotted SHU its two-run advantage, Love came through with an RBI single in the fourth. Then, in the eighth, Love's bases-loaded bomb preceded a two-run single by Thomas Bakoway, which ended the game via 10-run rule in walkoff fashion.

Siena Heights will play next on Thursday when it finishes a suspended game at Cornerstone on Thursday.
