Baseball Loses Single Contest To CUAA; Game Two Postponed

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The Siena Heights baseball team dropped a single contest to WHAC opponent Concordia on Saturday, 5-1. The teams were scheduled to play a second game, but the nightcap was postponed due to inclement weather and will be made up within the week.

Adam Wilding batted 2-for-3 for the Saints (4-13, 1-4) with a double and one RBI. Ben Weadock started on the hill, working the first 4 2/3 innings. He gave up four runs on six hits.

Concordia (20-1, 5-0) spotted itself a 3-0 lead with three runs in the third inning. SHU answered the next half-inning on an RBI double by Wilding.

The host Cardinals stretched their lead to four with single runs in the fifth and sixth fames.

CUAA's Timothy Pomaville was the winning pitcher, giving up one run on four hits. He recorded seven strikeouts and one walk.

The same two teams will match up again on Sunday for a 1 p.m. scheduled doubleheader.
