Scroggie ran home and was followed by VanWasshenova when Mabe knocked a ball out to left field. Hammer and Layman extended the lead further by adding two runs to the board in the top of the second. The Racers scored one run in the third while Siena refused to take their foot off the gas. Seemingly unstopped, the visiting team added five additional runs to the board in the fourth inning to grow the lead to 11-1. UNOH closed the score gap over the next two innings scoring eight runs between the fourth and fifth to bring the score to 11-9. With one run during the top of the seventh from the Saints and three runs from the Racers, the game was tied at 12-12 until the home team knocked a walk-off home run over center field to win game one 13-12 after one extra inning.

A slow first inning left the game scoreless, moving into the second. Where UNOH brought in six runs jumping into the lead. In the third, Matthew Love reached first on a single to left field and later ran home on an RBI triple from Hammer.

The home team added two runs to their score in the fourth and continued to put defensive pressure on the visiting Saints holding them to only one run.
