LAKE WALES, Florida -- The Siena Heights baseball team fell to 7th-ranked Bellevue (Neb.) 6-2 and Spring Arbor 29-0 on day four of spring training in Florida. Brad South (Freshman, Lambertville, Mich.) finished 2-for-4 on the day while earning one RBI.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Game 1: #7 Bellevue (Neb.) def. Siena Heights, 6-2 (7 innings)
The Bruins struck first scoring three runs in the bottom of the second inning. Zach Diehl reached base on a walk and scored on a wild pitch after stealing second and advancing to third. Daniel Teasley and Josh Benson reached base as Benson advanced and Teasley scored on a bunt by Bailey Link. Benson then scored on a wild pitch.
The Saints earned their first run in the top of the third inning. Cal Olmstead (Junior, Riga, Mich.) singled to left field and advanced to second on a SAC bunt by Cody Henderson (Sophomore, Lewiston, Montana). South singled to left-center scoring Olmstead to end the inning with the score 3-1. Bellevue earned another run in the bottom of the fourth inning as two batters reached on base and Blake Berry singled scoring Benson updating the score to 4-1.
Siena earned another run in the top of the sixth inning. Trevor Hulvey (Sophomore, Sterling Heights, Mich.) and Parker Mabe (Freshman, Fenton, Mich.) reached on base by singles. Jarrett Cousino (Sophomore, Oregon, Ohio) grounded out to second base scoring pinch-runner Haydn Smith (Freshman, Perrysburg, Ohio).
The Bruins scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning. Riley Baasch homered for an RBI. Teasley and Benson respectively reached base on errors. Link grounded into a double play that scored Teasley to end the game 6-2 as the Saints were scoreless in the seventh inning.
TOP SAINTS

Game 2: Spring Arbor def. Siena Heights, 29-0 (7 innings)
The Saints struggled at the plate and defensively for the entirety of the game as they were held to only two hits by Cameron Hammer (Freshman, Temperance, Mich.) and South and had a total of five pitching changes while Alex Stephens (W, 2-0) pitched a shut out for the Cougars.
Spring Arbor got things started with three runs in the first inning with a home-run RBI by Brant Mast and RBIs from Vincent Herschberger and Nick Carroll. The Cougars earned two more runs in the second inning off an RBI from Zach Kraabel and a run by Ben Redfield on a fielder's choice.
Spring Arbor kept the momentum going as they earned nine runs combined in the third and fourth innings. Callahan, Mast, and Evan Zigler had an RBI as Redfield tallied three RBIs while Peyton Harding scored on a wild pitch, Herschberger scored on an error, and Glenn Miller scored on a walk.
The Cougars had a whopping 15 runs combined in the fifth and sixth innings to end the game with the 29-0 victory. Jacob King had two RBIs while Redfield, Mullins, and King respectively homered for a combined nine RBIs. Redfield added two more RBIs to his stat line while Max Von Gemmingen and Brock Mullins scored on errors.

• John Miller (L, 0-1) (Freshman, Linden, Mich.) pitched two innings while giving up eight hits and runs while striking out one.
