Baseball Falls to CUAA in Final Home Contest

ADRIAN, Mich. – The Siena Heights baseball team fell 6-3 to Concordia in a single Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference contest in the final home game of the regular season, on Sunday.

The Cardinals opened up the scoring in the second with two runs but the Saints answered with a run of their own in the second, capitalizing off a CUAA error to cut the lead 2-1. Concordia extended their lead to 5-1 after the third inning.

Ryley Overacker sent a single down the left field line in the bottom of the third to send home two runners for SHU, trimming the Cardinals lead to 5-3. After a few quiet innings, CUAA tacked on a run in the top of the seventh, which would be the final run of the game.
