Baseball Drops Pair to Indiana Tech

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The Siena Heights baseball team dropped the final two games in a three-game conference series against Indiana Tech, on Sunday. The scores were 5-0 and 7-2.

After a short rain delay, Kyle Kuhr started on the mound for the Saints. Kuhr threw six innings, allowing the Warriors to score a solo run in the first, second, fourth and fifth innings. He was relieved by Chris McKiddie who pitched the final two innings and let one run score.

Austin Forsythe went 2-for-3 while Freddy Jehle and Brendan Green finished 2-for-4 in game one.

Justin McPherson was on the mound to start game two. He threw for 3.2 innings allowing six runs and taking the loss on the mound for the Saints. Reid Olmstead let one run score in the fifth inning. Taylor Acquita threw the sixth inning allowing one run.

Jehle scored a run for the Saints in the fifth followed by an Austin Hauck run in the sixth.

Siena Heights will travel to Davenport for the last four-game series of the season on Thursday and Friday.
